Keep your computer clean:
Disk Cleanup – Go to Start, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, Disk Cleanup, select files to delete by click on the box next to the type of Files. As you highlight the Files, down below in the description it will tell you what the files are. Click OK and then click Yes, for the next box, “Do you want to Perform this Action.” This action will cleanup your computer’s hard drive.
Disk Defragmenter – Go to Start, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, Disk Defragmenter and click on Disk Defragment button, this will compact all of your files on your hard drive. Do this when you have free time, sometimes depending on how many files you have on your hard drive, this could take a while.
Cleanup your Temporary Internet Files and Cookies – Open up your web browser, go to tools, internet options, under Browsing History, click on the Delete button, here is where you select which Browsing History you want to delete. Click on Close, then OK.
Virus and Spyware Protection – Always make sure that you have an active Virus and Spyware protection. We offer “Secure It” which you can purchase from one of our Customer Service Representatives. If you can’t afford one, there are some good free ones that you can search for on the internet. This is very important or you could lose your entire Operating System and possibly your hardware.
Microsoft Updates – Always install your Express High Priority Windows Updates. If you have your Windows Updates turned on, Windows will send you an alert that will pop up on your task bar when Updates are ready to be installed.
